Inspiration Project Research (Burton)

lookResearch for the Inspiration Project: Choosing Reliable Sources for Photography Research

For the Inspiration Project, you will need to find 3 RELIABLE, AUTHORITATIVE SOURCES on the web about your photographer. You will use the handout below to EVALUATE the quality of each source.

That means you need 3 HANDOUTS. You'll get one in class, and you need to print out the other two from the link below. You can type into the handout or print and handwrite.

The goal is to avoid amateur sources like blogs, Wikipedia, About.com, etc., that tend to be written by people who are just interested in photography, and choose sources that are written by expert photography critics, museum and gallery experts, scholars, artists and professionals. We are doing the type of research that you would have to do in a photography program in college or as a professional in this field.
