Apply to the CCA /Arts Magnet program

The Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Magnet in association with Center for Creative Arts (CCA) is open to all students wanting to come to IHS who have an honest and active interest in the arts.  Because IHS is a VAPA Magnet school, arts inclined/interested students outside of the IHS attendance area  may come to IHS as prospective members of the CCA. 

TRANSFERING TO IRVINGTON TO JOIN THE CCA IS ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO LIVE WITHIN FREMONT AND THE FUSD BOUNDARIES. 

Students attending private schools within FUSD can ONLY apply to the CCA if they live in Fremont city boundaries. 

The official due date for applications is Friday, March 10th by 4pm

Here's how to apply for the CCA:
If you DO NOT live within the Irvington attendance area boundaries but reside in Fremont, use the MAGNET APPLICATION link below and email all application materials to tmintey@fusdk12.net and kavon@fusdk12.net

If you DO live within the Irvington attendance area boundaries, and would like to join the Center for Creative Arts family, please use the INTERNAL application listed below and email all application materials to tmintey@fusdk12.net and kavon@fusdk12.net

***ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE AT LEAST A 1.75 CUMULATIVE GPA TO APPLY/A 2.0 IS RECOMMENDED***

**Make sure that when you are filling out your registration materials to mark the CCA Family or CCA Honors box as you will have either college prep or honors classes.

 Reminder: the application deadline, set by the District, is Friday, March 10th 2023. Please also note that we can ONLY accept applications submitted by email; we are no longer accepting physical application packets or physical artistic evidence.

**Shadow Day opportunities will be available this year and that information will be found on the Shadow an Arts Magnet Student for a Day page 

The application review and approval time frame roughly takes 2 weeks for processing the student apps.

There is an informal audition/introductory interview option available to incoming students *March 27th through March 31st

*The application processing and review time has taken longer than expected, we will email those students wanting interviews directly about different dates once we complete processing/reviewing
