Mrs. Olson is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angleles with a B.A. in Vocal Music Performance. Upon graduating from UCLA, she began graduate school at California State University, Long Beach where she earned her teaching credential. Mrs. Olson continues to be active with the UCLA Alumni Association, having served 2 terms as President of the Bay Area Bruins chapter. She is also very involved in the Bay Area arts, having performed in and directed shows for Tri Valley Rep (formerly Pleasanton Playhouse), Contra Costa Musical Theater, Role Players Ensemble and spent 8 seasons as a director with the Danville Girls Chorus.
She is a member of the American Choral Director's Association.
